Hello!
My name is Irene Saswito, and I’m an Indonesian designer currently living and working in sunny Singapore.
I first moved here to pursue a diploma in Illustration and Animation at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). After graduating, I started my creative journey — and it’s been quite an adventure ever since!
When I’m not designing, I enjoy baking sweet treats, staying active (Pilates is my go-to!), and wandering around the city to find hidden gems and inspiration.
A little bit about my journey.
Like many fresh grads, I didn’t land a job right away. Instead, I took a year off to do charity work with the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul Singapore, which led to an amazing opportunity to help prepare for World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow. I even got to visit Poland — a trip that really opened my eyes and heart.
After that, I kickstarted my career at WE! Interactive, a design agency where I worked as a digital designer creating visuals for social media, eDMs, and animated GIFs.

Next up was CALECIM® Cosmeceuticals, a biotech beauty brand. As their first in-house designer, I got to build the brand’s entire visual identity — from social media and digital ads to product photography, animation, and even their very first website (B2B and B2C). It was a one-woman design show, and I loved it.
Feeling inspired to broaden my design scope, I went back to school to study Interior Design at Raffles College. During that time, I worked part-time for WWF Singapore as a creative designer and also created 2D animations for a TV series with HOODS Inc. Productions.

After graduating, I joined Vivo Surgical, a medical technology company, as their marketing content designer. I created explainer videos, product visuals, and social media content, and led the revamp of their corporate website to better support their global distributors.
Curious about UI/UX, I took a certified part-time course at Vertical Institute and picked up the basics of prototyping and design thinking.
Now, I’m working at TOPPAN Ecquaria, a digital government service company. My work here is a mix of everything I love: graphic design, video production, 2D/3D animation, HTML5 web building, and even visualizing booth layouts in 3D for exhibitions. I also collaborate with the innovation team on UI/UX projects — it’s a great space to keep growing and trying new things!

I believe great design is about solving problems with creativity, clarity, and a little spark of fun. I’m always open to new collaborations and challenges — especially ones that let me tell stories through visuals.
